Ultralight Tackle

Using ultralight tackle doesn’t mean breaking out the old cane poles with a shoe string attached, or the buggy whip rod that has some piece of lightweight wood attached to it, pulling the lips off of the smallest fish in the lake all day. What it means now days is using lighter lines and rods matched up to the line and reel being used to properly throw micro sized baits and lures, as well as still being able to control bigger fish when they are on the move. Ultralight tackle has come an incredibly long way in the last few years in terms of advancing the materials being used to create the ultimate in sensitivity from the tip, as well as power from the backbone of the rod.
