One of the best things I ever got my teenage daughter was a beaded door curtain. I have always regretted the day that I allowed her unlimited access to the Internet in her room, as I’m constantly worried about what she’s doing in there with the door closed. Call me old fashioned if you like, but I prefer to know who my children are talking to online.
So I decided that the most subtle way to approach the problem was to take the door off and replace it with a beaded curtain. I didn’t tell her that I wanted to spy on her, of course, I told her that we needed more air circulating through the house, which actually wasn’t a lie. The best part is, she loves the curtain. It is designed with a picture of a dolphin on it, and dolphins are her favourite animal. Now I can keep a closer eye on what goes on in her online world.
